NEW – Shared interest groups – West Lancs Community Network

Following the success of the recent area-based meetings of West Lancs Community Network, we’re delighted to invite you to the next stage of development.

Guided by our recent survey, we’ve identified four themed groups which will be meeting in late Feb and during March.

The first one will be:

Community Venues Group
Monday 24th February | 10.30am – 12.30pm

at Parbold Village Hall, 2 The Green, Parbold WN8 7DN

This group is for any organisations running a community venue – community centres, community hubs, village halls, village institutes, church halls, and sports and social Clubs.

Running any community building successfully can be very rewarding – but it takes a lot of hard work. Why not see if you can save some of the hard yards by sharing common issues and learning from each other?

Join the Network’s Community Venues Group and explore how to:

  • Identify common goals and work collaboratively to secure resources
  • Get grants to go green and zap your energy bills
  • Get better access to intelligence on voluntary sector news & proposed legislation
  • Feel safer about safeguarding and security
  • Get the best professional help and advice on Health and Safety, HR Issues, audit/accountancy and legal issues
