We’re delighted to invite you to the West Lancs CVS AGM and launch of the

West Lancs Third Sector Network

At: Skelmersdale Cricket Club, Blaguegate Lane, WN8 8TY

  • Celebrate the launch of the West Lancs Voluntary Sector Network – for support, inspiration, partnership and local influence
  • Be a part of forming the new Network
  • Catch up with other groups in the sector
  • Tell us how we can best support your work

Inspire – Connect – Support

CVS has refocused its work on bringing the sector together with the aim to strengthen its impact.

Each quarter, the CVS will be convening a Third Sector network meeting

The aims of the Network are to:

  • Strengthen the sector’s identity and collective voice
  • Connect communities – of interest and geographical areas
  • Gather information to influence key decision-makers
  • Equip the sector to respond to the local priorities
  • Build up links to develop partnership projects locally

Structure – This main quarterly network will be supported by a series of sub networks around key themes/localities – suggestions so far include:

  • Social enterprise network
  • Green/environmental network
  • Social care network
  • Housing network
  • Volunteering network

Our launch event will focus on:

  • Ideas/topics for future network meetings.
  • Where these should be held and how often
  • What other sub-networks/geographical networks would be useful
  • What other support you need to help you do your work better
  • What support could CVS specifically provide

The event will include West Lancs CVS’s Annual General Meeting.

Please note:

  • Places are limited and we expect this event to be popular, so priority will be given to community, voluntary, faith and social enterprise groups based in West Lancs who are CVS members. (If you are not yet a CVS member, please apply here).
  • Groups from outside the Borough (or with their main base elsewhere) are welcome but will initially go on a waiting list.
  • Please complete a booking form for each person wishing to attend.
