West Lancs CVS is pleased to offer a further post to strengthen and develop our work with the local voluntary sector over the coming year:

Volunteering Support Officer – 21 hours a week

Through this post we’ll be increasing the Volunteer Centre’s visibility and outreach functions and targeting new groups of volunteers. There will be particular focus on those needing extra support, such as young people, those furthest from the job market and those in excluded communities and groups (such as disabled people).

The post-holder will work with our existing Volunteering Officer Jan Howard, to target new volunteers from currently underrepresented groups and localities, and identify new volunteering opportunities. They will also identify and develop both training and local networking opportunities related to volunteering.

This new post is part of our work to explore new ways of supporting and developing impactful local volunteering. The post is funded initially for a fixed term of 12 months, with the potential to extend if further funding becomes available.
