We’re delighted to announce the return of our annual Volunteers Awards Evening on Wednesday 3rd July, 6.30-8.30pm. The event this year will be hosted at West Lancs Borough Council in Ormskirk.

This popular event is a chance to celebrate the amazing work of volunteers across West Lancs, and to recognise and say a big thank you for the contribution they make to your organisation.

Ahead of the evening, we’re asking you to put forward names of your volunteers that you wish to receive a certificate on the night.

You can nominate in either of the following two categories and we will be awarding certificates to all those put forward:

1. Outstanding Contribution to Volunteering

In recognition of their dedication and invaluable contribution to volunteering

2. Young Volunteer Award

In recognition of the contribution made by a young person (14-21 years old) – to a particular event or number of hours/years of volunteering.

On the evening, the presentation of certificates will take place in the Council Chambers, followed by light refreshments in the Mayor’s Office. The evening will be at no cost to organisations.

A representative from each organisation will be invited to say a few words on the evening about the powerful impact volunteers have on your organisation. It is true to say that a number of organisations would not be able to run without the dedication and hard work of their volunteers.

• Their contact number and email address
• Title of their volunteer role in your organisation
• State which category you wish to nominate them for

Please send your nominations as soon as possible as numbers on the night are limited due to venue capacity.
